My Prayer As I Head For Haiti

As I stand here at the hopping off point – I’ll be leaving tomorrow before sunrise – the thoughts that have crouched in the corners of my mind since I made the decision to go have begun to crowd out the rest of my thoughts.

The need in Haiti is so great.
The need is great, and I am acutely aware that I simply am not.

…However…

Jesus is within me, isn’t He?
And He is Greater than any need.

Provided a set of willing hands, ordinary though they may be, Jesus can

So, this is my prayer.

Lord, through me will You
love, serve, soothe, and heal each priceless soul I encounter in Haiti?

Pray it with me, will you?

Thanks upon thanks for those of you who’ve contributed encouragements, prayers, gifts, and funds to this trip.
Here’s the last of the wonderful things that have flowed in:

Ron and Kris Ratkos, Aaron and Clarissa Smith, Doug and Marigene Betts, whomever sent the gauze, and all whose gifts were highlighted in my last post about Haiti – again, I consider that you’re coming with me!

Mike and Marie Kler, who tell me their contribution of funds will arrive just a smidge after I’ve departed – you’re coming along as well!

And, of course, Jill Roper, the woman who suggested I embark upon this trip, in her heart of hearts, is too ♥
